Feb 2021 – EPC requirement update
Previously, we were advised by the Scottish Government that minimum EPC regulations as previously discussed would come into force on 1st April 2021. These regulations require rental property to have an EPC rating of D by 2025 or 2022 if there was a change in tenants.
The Scottish Executive has delayed these regulations due to the coronavirus pandemic in recognition of the impact the virus is having on the private rented sector.
These regulations will some into force at a later date, perhaps later this year, but we await for further updates.
